Refund Policy for AlgoNest

Important Notice

Most of our courses are hosted on Udemy and follow Udemy's 30-day refund policy. For Udemy courses, please refer to Udemy's refund policy directly. This policy applies to AlgoNest direct services only.

1. Scope of This Policy

This refund policy applies to:

  • One-to-one discussion sessions booked directly through AlgoNest
  • Private tutoring and mentoring services
  • Custom course development
  • Corporate training programs

Note: This policy does not apply to courses purchased through Udemy, which follow Udemy's separate refund policy.

2. Discussion Sessions - One-to-One Mentoring

2.1 Full Refund (Before Session)

You are eligible for a full refund if:

  • You cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled session
  • The session is rescheduled by mutual agreement
  • Technical issues prevent the session from occurring
  • Instructor is unavailable for the scheduled time

2.2 Partial Refund (After Session)

Partial refunds may be considered if:

  • Technical issues significantly impact session quality
  • Instructor fails to cover agreed-upon topics
  • Session is cut short due to instructor circumstances
  • Documented service quality issues

2.3 No Refund

No refunds are available if:

  • You cancel less than 24 hours before the session
  • You fail to attend the scheduled session
  • You are late for the session (more than 15 minutes)
  • Technical issues are on your end (internet, device, etc.)

3. Private Tutoring Programs

3.1 7-Day Cooling Off Period

For private tutoring packages:

  • Full refund within 7 days of purchase
  • No sessions must have been conducted
  • Written request required with reason for cancellation
  • Processing fee of ₹500 may apply

3.2 Pro-Rata Refund

After 7 days or if sessions have begun:

  • Refund calculated for unused sessions only
  • ₹1,000 deducted per completed session
  • Administrative fee of 10% applies
  • Minimum 48-hour notice required for cancellation

4. Corporate Training Programs

4.1 Cancellation Policy

For corporate training:

  • Full refund if cancelled 30+ days before start date
  • 50% refund if cancelled 15-29 days before start date
  • 25% refund if cancelled 7-14 days before start date
  • No refund if cancelled less than 7 days before start

4.2 Rescheduling

Corporate training can be rescheduled:

  • Once without penalty (7+ days notice)
  • Additional rescheduling: 10% fee per change
  • Subject to instructor and facility availability

5. Custom Course Development

5.1 Development Phase

During course development:

  • Full refund if cancelled before work begins
  • 50% refund if cancelled within first week of development
  • No refund after development materials are delivered

5.2 Post-Delivery

After course delivery:

  • No refunds on completed custom courses
  • Modifications may be negotiated separately
  • Support and maintenance terms apply separately

6. Refund Process

6.1 Request Submission

To request a refund:

  • Email parm@algonest.co.in with subject "Refund Request"
  • Include your name, contact information, and purchase details
  • Provide reason for refund request
  • Attach any relevant documentation or evidence

6.2 Processing Time

Refund processing timeline:

  • Initial response within 48 hours of request
  • Review and decision within 5-7 business days
  • Refund processing within 3-5 business days after approval
  • Total time: 10-15 business days from request to payment

6.3 Refund Method

Refunds will be processed:

  • Back to the original payment method
  • Within the constraints of payment processor policies
  • In Indian Rupees (₹) regardless of original currency
  • Minus any applicable fees as specified in this policy

7. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable:

  • Udemy course purchases (follow Udemy policy)
  • Administrative fees and processing charges
  • Third-party services or materials
  • Gift cards or promotional credits
  • Services already rendered and completed

8. Special Circumstances

8.1 Medical Emergencies

In case of medical emergencies:

  • Full refund with medical documentation
  • Rescheduling option without penalty
  • Consideration for family emergencies
  • Case-by-case evaluation

8.2 Technical Issues

For platform technical issues:

  • Full refund if issue prevents service delivery
  • Partial refund for significant service disruption
  • Rescheduling option for minor issues
  • Technical support provided at no additional cost

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Initial Review

All refund requests undergo:

  • Initial review by customer support team
  • Verification of purchase and service details
  • Assessment against this refund policy
  • Decision communication within specified timeline

9.2 Appeals Process

If your refund request is denied:

  • You may appeal within 7 days of denial
  • Appeal reviewed by senior management
  • Final decision within 5 business days of appeal
  • All decisions are final and binding
